Bio: Dr. Erin Albert is an entrepreneur, writer, assistant professor, and student. She is the founder of two companies (Pharm, LLC and Yuspie, LLC), and is the Director of the Ribordy Center for Community Practice Pharmacy at Butler University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Dr. Albert teaches throughout the curriculum, including Introduction to Pharmacy Practice, Business and Personnel Management in Pharmacy Practice, an elective on Entrepreneurship in Health Care and Life Sciences, and Pharmacy Law. Erin has developed and written several books on pharmacy practice, entrepreneurship, and regional community development for central Indiana, most recently
Plan C: The Full-Time Employee and Part-Time Entrepreneur. A pharmacist, Albert plans to complete law school at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in May, 2012, and is currently a note development editor for
Indiana Health Law Review. In 2011, Erin won best note on "The Case for Pharmacists as Healthcare Providers under the Social Security Act," (to be published in the spring of 2012) on Health Law Review, and was a 2010 Fellow of the Program on Law and State Government, where she studied social entrepreneurship. She currently holds a BS in Pharmacy from Butler University, a MBA in Marketing from Concordia University Wisconsin, and a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from Shenandoah University. She previously worked in community practice pharmacy, pharmacy management, and in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries in various capacities--medical affairs, clinical research operations, marketing, and as a medical science liaison. She currently lives in Indiana.
